Caring for Your Jewellery
Caring for your jewellery is essential to maintain its beauty and longevity. We offer detailed care instructions based on the material of our jewellery. Please follow them accordingly:
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is durable and resistant to rust, so it doesn’t require much maintenance and can withstand water contact, whether at the beach, in the pool, or when exposed to lotions and perfumes.
However, be careful to avoid scratching or hitting it against hard objects, as this can damage the jewellery's surface and increase the risk of any stones becoming loose or detached. We also recommend against regularly sleeping in stainless steel chain necklaces and bracelets, as this can increase the risk of them snapping.
For storage, keep your stainless steel jewellery in a soft pouch when not in use. To clean it, gently brush with toothpaste and an old toothbrush to keep it looking its best.
Real Flower Pieces
We kindly remind you to handle your real flower piece with extra care and attention due to the delicate nature of real flowers. As a general guideline, we recommend treating it as the final step in your getting-ready routine (after dressing, applying makeup, and fragrance) and as the first item to remove when you return home.
Avoid contact with water, lotions, perfume, etc. Refrain from showering with or sleeping in this jewellery. Keep it out of the sun, as sunlight will cause the flower color to fade quickly.
To clean it, gently brush with toothpaste and an old toothbrush. Rinse with warm water thoroughly and ensure drying immediately afterward.
Sterling Silver
Sterling silver is a precious metal that is prone to tarnishing. Follow the instructions below to prevent tarnishing and to restore its shine if tarnishing occurs:
Avoid Chemicals: Keep your jewellery away from chemicals such as household cleaners, perfumes, lotions, and hairsprays, as these can potentially damage it. If contact does occur, rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly.
Water Contact: Temporary contact with water is generally acceptable, but you should promptly dry your jewellery afterward. Always remove your jewellery before swimming, exercising, or entering the sea. If contact does occur, rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly.
Storage: Store your sterling pieces in a cool, dry place, preferably in a soft pouch, to protect them from sunlight and moisture. Before storing your jewellery away for an extended period, rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry your jewellery. This helps remove any sweat, lotions, or other residues that could contribute to tarnishing.
Remove Tarnish: If you notice any tarnish, address it promptly, as leaving it for too long makes it harder to remove. To clean tarnish, brush the jewellery with toothpaste and an old toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and ensure it is dried immediately afterward. Repeat the process until the tarnish is gone. If toothpaste doesn’t work, please contact us for assistance.
Please note that gold-plated sterling silver pieces will experience gradual wear-off of the gold plating, resulting in a transition to a gold/silver color. This process takes anywhere between 3 months to 2 years, depending on how often you wear your jewellery. To help slow down this process, it is advisable to avoid prolonged contact with water, prevent clashing with other metals, and store gold-plated pieces separately.
